Florida + Mexico = Vacation for me!

Okay I finally got around posting these! This was wayyy back in September when I got a chance to sneak out of Vancouver. Me and Rita flew out to Florida and took a 7-day cruise to the Caribbean. I’m kinda hooked on cruising now as it’s so relaxing and worry free. You get to see so many different places, it was just an awesome way to travel. I’ve concluded that if you want to eat a lot (but gain 10 pounds), get a deep tan, get sun burned, and not do much, this is the way to do it!

The Sun here is amazing and so very different from Vancouver. I got a nice tan the first day I was there, much more than maybe a week out in Vancouver! Anyways, on with the photos…

Here’s our boat! Our home for the next 7 days!

We found this place that had a good snorkeling spot and was actually quite quiet. We almost had the whole place to ourselves!

They had these hammocks setup around the place and I couldn’t resist.

We took an excursion to see the ancient Mayan ruins! Was super cool!

   

On one of the ports, we just took it easy and headed out to the beach.

I loved this one! The two you see is our new friends from our cruise. They made perfect models. This looks like it should be in a travel magazine!

Love this one too. I will have the revisit here again sometime in the future!

With the cruise over, we still have a couple days left in Florida. We decided to head to Daytona Beach. But frankly, there wasn’t much to see there. But it was quite cool because you can drive ON the beach! Yes that’s exciting!

I did find out it was sea turtle nesting season. We were hoping to catch some of the baby turtles surging for the water after being hatched.

But no such luck. So disappointed! But we did catch a amazing sunset on the beach!
