10 Year Anniversary – August 17, 1999

Wow, 10 years ago, was when Rita and I went on our first date. We were in highschool at the time, first boyfriend, first girlfriend. It was ever so sweet. It’s hard to believe that we have been together for 10 years already. I’m so glad that we found each other and that we’ve experienced a large part of our lives together. I don’t think life would be the same and I would be a different person than I am today. I’m so excited about the future and what’s in store for us!

We celebrated with a night at the beautiful Shangri-La Hotel. Here’s us before we headed out for dinner!

Heart and Soul 2009

We are delighted to part of the upcoming Heart of Richmond  AIDS Society event called the Heart & Soul at the Quilchena Golf & Country Club.  We will be there hosting our photobooth with the performers that evening and also photographing the event as well! We have also donated a family portrait session to their silent auction, so be sure to bid on it if you are going! Click here to go to the website for more information!

Jackie and John: All you need is love!

What an awesome wedding! One of the most fun I’ve had for awhile! Jackie spared nothing for her wedding! There was a total of 3 outfit change, which isn’t rare for a chinese wedding. But she also changed her hair AND makeup 3 times as well! I love it!

Here is when John picked up the bride after all the games in the morning.

The details here are just amazing. Really loving the contrast between the yellow and cherry blossom on the shirt of the mother.

One of the three head pieces! The wedding dress has one similar to this but in white.

This one is from later in the reception that went with her evening gown.

Just absolutely love this one! No photoshop here! The words were there when we got there! Just perfect!

San Francisco is a gogo!

Took a visit to San Francisco for a quick couple of days while my family came over to Vancouver! It’s my first time there and I really enjoyed the city. The architecture of the buildings there are so beautiful. I wish we have more of these in Vancouver. We also made a visit down to Napa Valley to visit a couple wineries.

Here is me and my sister. I’m not that heavy, really.

Union square, the headquarters of anything shopping!

Here’s me driving down the Oakland bridge (Sister bridge to the Golden Gate)

Me and my sister riding the tram. For the full experience, you have ride it standing, otherwise it doesn’t count! +Points if you are like me one-handing it with a camera in the other hand.

I found this very funky mirror (albeit a bit dirty) that reflects back at a different angle. I took this one straight on.

Found this on one of my walks around the city. Too bad I didn’t plan it, or I would’ve tried finding the “Full House” house!

Angelina and Dave – E-Shoot

What an awesome afternoon we had! We headed out to Deas Island out in Delta! They got some gorgeous vintage houses there that was so beautiful! Everyone should go there to check it out sometime! There are some really cool tall grass there that’s great for photos. Sorry Dave that your allergies kicked in! At least the photos don’t show it. I usually pop a claritin before I head out for a shoot. Oh and we saw this bright yellow wall on the side of the house and I couldn’t resist it!

Studio shots!

Here are some shots of our new studio! There are two main areas. One is a gallery of our work from the past years. Then there is our fresh wall, where we put our work from our latest wedding or portrait shoot. The second area is our meeting space, where we can watch slideshows, view some albums, or just relax, chat and have a glass of wine. The space is also modular, so we can also do some studio work here as well! We are very proud of it and we can’t wait to share the space with you!

Our new building!

We’ve recently moved into our new building at 402 West Pender Street. We love it to bits! It is an older building built in 1912. And it has all those architecture flare that we love. I don’t know the technical terms, but we’ve highlighted some of our favorites below! There is even an architect firm on the ground floor!

The lobby is very cute too with cool interior decor and moldings. There is a door from a bank vault on display and is quite neat to see the inner workings of it. And the best part is that there is a send mail delivery chute from the original building that still works. It connects to every floor of the building. And if you throw some mail in, you will see it fly down through the glass window!
