Chrissie + Lex = Engagement

This was one awesome shoot. Meeting for the first time, I didn’t know what to expect. But one look and this couple’s got a unique style to them. We started out in Yaletown and then headed up to Gastown when the light dropped. We really like to draw from each couple’s personality in our engagement shoots. I think we got their soft side and their edgier side.

The funniest thing happened when Lex ran to fill up the parking meter while me and Chrissie was just waiting around. An “up and coming” photographer chatted up Chrissie to do some photos in the future……..while I was standing right there with camera in hand. Umm Hello! At least acknowledge my existence! Anyways….

Last couple of shots in Gastown was with street light only and I totally pulled off the impossible. Good thing I had my favourite lens with me. Gotta give it a good cleaning tonight!

Their wedding is coming up in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait to be working with Chrissie and Lex again!

Claire + Robert = Engagement at Van Dusen Gardens

Fall is one of my favorite season for photos! The colors are always soooo pretty and it’s just the right temperature to break out the jackets! Van Dusen was awesome as usual! So much variety there and we actually caught it on a semi sunny day! Claire and Robert will be getting married soon at Brix Restaurant in Yaletown just after X’mas! Here’s the engagement shots!

Candice + Ryan = Engagement Shoot in Richmond

Took these a couple weeks back with Candice and Ryan! Minoru Park was filled with bunnies everywhere! Free food and plenty of willing partners will do that. We later headed to the City Hall where there are some good spots around. I can’t wait for the wedding next year!

Back back back!

We’re back from vacation! Actually… we’ve been back for a couple days and just shot a wedding this last weekend already! Me and Rita had the most amazing time out in Orlando, Florida! More details in another post as I got some amazing shots of the places we went! So look out for that!

We’re now back in full force and have lot’s of exciting things ahead. We have lots of weddings from 2009 that we still need to post up and some we’ve missed from before. We are also going to introduce some of our albums and album designs up on our blog very soon. So be sure to check back for that.

For all our couples that haven’t done their engagement shoot yet, now is a great time to do them! The fall colors are amazing right now so don’t miss it!

We’re still booking for 2010 dates and they are booking up fast! So feel free to send us an email or give us a call to come down to our studio! We would love to meet you guys!

Out on vacation!

We will be away for a little break and will be back in early October. We will still be answering emails, so don’t hesitate writing to us!

Eva + Todd = Wedding x 2

Living now in Irvine, CA was no easy task to plan a wedding. But they pulled this two day affair off without a hitch! Day one was the church ceremony and reception at Grouse mountain. Clouds were not our friend that day as we were looking forward to the gorgeous view from the top of the mountain! Instead, we took advantage of the great lighting we had all day and just had a great time. Day two was the tea ceremony and reception at Kirin restaurant in Richmond. It was so interesting to see the fusion of Chinese and Jamaican cultures. I also got to try some of the Jamaican rum cake, which was so delicious! I need to find where I can get more!

Just love the invites and menus. Simple, classy and elegant. Eva’s maid of honor painstakingly tied all the ribbons!

I can honestly say, this wedding had one of the most camera’s brought by guests by far!

Just love the funny moments…
And the ever so embarrassing moments…
Then we have the groomsman who was so dedicated in recording every speech whilst tearing up.
Jamaicans have got some dance in them! Here’s the father of the groom breaking it down!

Congrats again Eva and Todd! Thanks for having us for your day!

Where in the world is… Krista and David

One week before the shoot, we were still deciding on where we want to go. Back and forth we went, and we decided on _______________. Where? Well that’s not important! Krista wanted something that had some westcoast flair but not something you typically see. And she wanted the location to be a mystery to anyone who sees them.  It’s ALL about them! I totally agree that’s the way it should be. We worked some magic and got these! Enjoy!

Brides for Breasts Gala

I wanted to give a shout out to this event for a great cause! The event is on Thursday October 22, 2009 and all proceeds will go to the BC Cancer Foundation and The Cinderella Project!
