Adobe Lightroom 2

As some of you may know. I use Adobe Lightroom to process all my photos in conjunction with Photoshop CS3. I’ve been trying out the beta version of Lightroom since it came out, and was hoping the final version will be released so I can really use it. Well just this week, Adobe released the 2nd version of Lightroom and I am so very excited about all the new features. What this means is that I will spend less time going between programs to process my images to get the look that I want. It will also support dual monitors, something I’ve been dying to use since getting my second monitor.

So, what does this mean to you? Well hopefully, once I get adjusted to all the new features, I will be able to release your beautiful pictures in a shorter time frame. You’ll also get more final images in your proofs so you won’t have to wait for the album to see everything.

Anyways, I know a lot of you are into photography, so check it out HERE. There is also a free trial if you are in a curious mood.

Back from Vegas!

I’m back from Vegas and I had a blast with my girlfriend! The heat was scorching, but thank goodness that it was very dry, so it was actually quite bearable despite being in the high 30′s! Here is the first night where we walked by New York New York.

Being so hot, we hit up the pool at the MGM. They had an awesome river pool where you can just float around and it’ll just keep you moving along. Here’s me lounging around under some shade.

We also did A LOT of walking around through the hotels and on the street. It’s not my first time to Vegas, but I always underestimate how far things are. The map is so deceptive. One block in Vegas is like 6 blocks in Vancouver.

Here is me at the Wynn buffet. It was very nice inside and there was tons of food. I was a bit disappointed that I got full so fast. Last year, I think I squeezed in a couple plates more of those crab legs. MMMMmmm!

And it isn’t Vegas without some night life! We went to the club at Caesars Palace called PURE. It was pretty awesome because we got on the VIP list, so no waiting in line! And we also didn’t have to pay for cover! The club is connected to the Pussy Cat Doll lounge. Despite having a stage and all, no one came out to dance, so disappointed. I think they were all too busy dancing outside on the gaming floor to attract those blackjack players.

And lastly, I went on the New York New York roller coaster. What a ride! I don’t usually get too scared from roller coaster, but this one had me on edge. Highly recommended if you are heading to Vegas.

Btw, some of these were taken with my iPhone, so quality might be meh!

Vegas Babyyy!

I’m off to Vegas for the weekday guys. So, I’ll be back on Friday night. I’ll get a chance to check my email once in a while, so feel free to email me! Don’t worry Christine and Michael, I’ll be back in time for your awesome wedding! I might just be sporting a farmer’s tan, that’s all!

Cherie and David’s Wedding

What can I say? This young lovely couple is so sweet. One of my favorites already. Their wedding was in Historic Fort Langley. It was such a nice change of scenery for me. This place is amazing, and if you have never visited before, I would totally recommend it. It’s almost like traveling back in time! Cherie’s dad and grandpa had a pair of these 50′s (or was it 40′s) Thunderbirds that they restored themselves. You’ll see it in some of the photos below. They are way cool! Oh I forgot to mention the sun was blazing! And oddly enough the mosquitoes was out for a parade. I think we all got eaten alive. I have some very lovely and itchy souvenirs to take home. Cherie and David: Hope you had lots of fun in Hawaii!

Derek - You should have gotten me a ticket to go with you Cherie! I don’t think I can say no to that.

May and Nelson E-shoot

We finally got a nice day in Vancouver. We got out to the False Creek area and had some fun. It’s such a nice area here. Is it just me or does EVERYONE have a dog here? So cool. I love dogs (I had 2 previously). Anyways! May and Nelson’s Wedding is coming up soon, and it will be at the lovely Cecile Green Park House. Oh yeah, it’s an outdoor wedding too! It’s going to be great!

Bailey and Lloyd’s Wedding

We got this awesome snowfall just on Bailey and Lloyd’s special day. Their wedding was at the beautiful Westwood Plateau and the snow outlining the trees along the mountains was just perfect. It just made everything almost like a fairytale. Bailey and Lloyd was quite a lot of fun to be around all day and I’m glad I had the pleasure of shooting this lovely couple!

Wacky weather!

Met with a client today in downtown, so I decide to go for some shots around the city since it was so sunny. Boy was I wrong. Five minutes in, it started to snow/hail. This green soccer field was covered white fast!

Here is what I took today. Tried some new processing. Check out the one at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden. It’s really dramatic! Not something I’ll use for weddings, but it’s fun to just play around. Enjoy!

Berit - I love that you achieved a very soft yet striking contrast of colour and texture. Very unique look at Vancouver.

Chelsea and Aaron’s Wedding

Here is a peak at a wedding from Febuary. Chelsea and Aaron was a joy to spend the day with. They had a lovely ceremony and reception at the Langley Golf Centre. The weather was acting up days leading up to the wedding with snow in the forecast. But lucky for us the clouds cleared and the sun actually came out for a couple of hours. The first dance was awesome too. This couple can dance! Anyways, be sure to click on the thumbnails to see the pics in full!
