Generation Photography

Here are some shots of our new studio! There are two main areas. One is a gallery of our work from the past years. Then there is our fresh wall, where we put our work from our latest wedding or portrait shoot. The second area is our meeting space, where we can watch slideshows, view some albums, or just relax, chat and have a glass of wine. The space is also modular, so we can also do some studio work here as well! We are very proud of it and we can’t wait to share the space with you!

We’ve recently moved into our new building at 402 West Pender Street. We love it to bits! It is an older building built in 1912. And it has all those architecture flare that we love. I don’t know the technical terms, but we’ve highlighted some of our favorites below! There is even an architect firm on the ground floor!

The lobby is very cute too with cool interior decor and moldings. There is a door from a bank vault on display and is quite neat to see the inner workings of it. And the best part is that there is a send mail delivery chute from the original building that still works. It connects to every floor of the building. And if you throw some mail in, you will see it fly down through the glass window!

We are very excited to unveil our new studio space in the heart of downtown Vancouver! We have totally transformed the space and we are totally in love with it. In celebration, we are inviting everyone to come down and check it out!

There will be plenty of drinks and snacks! We’re starting at 7:00pm and it will go until whenever!

We are so excited to launch our new website! Many hours have gone into it and it has finally gone live. There are still some minor updates along the way, but we are loving it right now. Also, all of our past clients have been merged to the new awesome proofing site. It has some incredible features and we are so happy with it. We’d love to hear your feedback, so feel free to drop us an email or post a comment!

Everything went smoothly with the server change and now we are with this new fabulous dedicated server at Westhost! All galleries in the past 6 months have been transistioned over! Did that take forever or what? Did you know how many files we transferred over? 60,000 files! Ouch! Well we plan on staying with Westhost for the long haul. I can say enough good things about them. I had a couple of hiccups, and they sorted it out in 12 hours or less.

I think I can sum up this wedding in one word. FABULOUS! Shae is such an awesome bride with tons of energy! I was still waking up and Shae was already running around doing all the girl’s make up! Jeff and the guys looked great. I really love the pin strips on the suits and the shoes was even better! Oh, and Karen (Shae’s mom) was awesome too. They were laughing and giggling the whole time walking down the aisle, it was so funny. Everyone at the wedding was having so much fun and enjoying themselves and it really shows in the photos!
