Professional BC Wedding Awards 2011

I’m so happy to announce that we were one of the finalist for the Professional BC Wedding Awards for the Best Candid Photograph! It was such a great honor to be named among all the top wedding vendors in BC. I’m looking forward to capturing more of these moments in the coming wedding season!

Here was the entry that we submitted.

Laura and Jordan – Engagement Session Sneakpeek

Haven’t been posting much lately, but will have lot’s more coming soon! This summer has been awesome with all the weddings, and now that fall has come along, it time for some more engagement sessions! Trying to get a try day in Vancouver these days has been a nightmare! But, we finally got one mid-week and we took out Laura and Jordan for their engagement session in Stanley Park.

We basically lucked out because the morning of the shoot, it was gloomy as hell. Glad we trusted the weather forecast! Anyways, on with the photos!

Some amazing clouds, and not to mention the amazing couple as well!

This one screams VANCOUVER! Love it.

Right by the seawall near the lighthouse. So in love with this image!

One of my favorite black and whites I’ve done lately.

Had a great time shooting with Laura and Jordan! So looking forward to your wedding! I’ll be posting more once you’ve seen the rest of the set in the studio!

Tammie and Michael’s Same Day Slideshow

We did a same day edit slideshow this Saturday and it was awesome! Love the reaction from the room, but especially from Tammie and Mike! Nothing makes us happier than seeing those happy faces. Congrats Tammie and Mike! Sneak preview to follow!

Yalda + Steve = Married – Heritage Hall Wedding

Here’s is one we shot back awhile that we haven’t blogged about! Yalda and Steve’s wedding was at the Heritage Hall on Main Street. A beautiful little venue and everything took place here starting from the ceremony to the reception. Quite a flexible space and located just in the middle of everything.

The day started at the Hyatt Regency in one of the biggest rooms ever. Here’s Yalda’s dress hanging from the second floor of the room.

Love the bouquet. The details are amazing.

Had to use it for the ring shot!

Yalda getting her dress on and having some fun moments with the bridemaids. And also sneaking a couple texts to you soon-to-be hubby.

It’s always a treat when we do a first look as the emotions are always so raw. So, we were quite looking forward to the first look we had planned for Yalda and Steve. I think their faces just says it all! So sweet.

Then off we go for some portraits around Yaletown. Love using storefronts around the area here, always fresh!

Then off to Heritage Hall for the ceremony. Yalda getting the jitters as she sees everyone for the first time.

Funniest garter toss ever.

Soraiya and Chumahan – Wedding Sneak Preview

Part two of our double header weekend. A little scare of rain in the morning, but that’s was about it. The wedding was a wonderful mixture of so many different cultures and religions. It was such a joy and honor photographing these two wonderful people and their families. And it was quite fitting that the two of them are lawyers, the reception was the the Law Courts here in downtown.

This is part one of the view from the Law Court Inn. AMAZING view here.

Here it is later in the day after the sun has set.

The last from this series with the bride and groom. Can’t get much better than that. Love it!

Bahar + Alex: Sneak Preview – West Vancouver Wedding

This is the first wedding from our double header wedding this weekend. The day was beautiful and it took place all in West Vancouver. Started the day at Bahar’s home and off to the Capilano Golf and Country Club . We later headed off to Ambleside Park for the photos with the bridal party. More to come with the full post!

Candice and Ryan Maternity Shoot

Less than a year ago, I shot Candice and Ryan’s wedding! And now they are blessed with a little one! I’m so glad I got the chance to shoot these maternity photos as it’s the beginning of such a wonderful journey!

Robyn + Jordan – Crescent Beach Enagegement Session

Took these awhile back and just wanted to share with you as their wedding is coming up really soon! Robyn and Jordan lives right by Crescent Beach and it was the perfect spot for their e-session. We got the perfect day and perfect time too with the sun just about to set. Just gorgeous light all around. These guys were not super comfortable in front of the camera…. or so they told me. They totally fooled me! Jordan also got these really cool bikes. We each got our own bike, so it was quite fun riding around. Also loved the challenge of riding a bike, whilst carrying my gear and shooting at the same time.

Enjoy and I’m looking forward to their wedding!
